Three good causes helping Thanet residents over the festive period have benefited from London Array donations.
The offshore wind farm gave a combined total of £2,500 to the charities. The largest sum went to the Thanet Iceberg Project which helps individuals and households to combat the causes of poverty while overcoming its symptoms.
The charity’s Alexander Roarke said: “This will ensure that many local families and individuals experience a really merry Christmas this year.”
The other beneficiaries were Thanet Food Link and the Cheerful Sparrows.
Bob Smith, General Manager at London Array, said: “London Array is very much a part of the local community and we wanted to give a helping hand to these three organisations which do such valuable work.
“We are very grateful for the time and effort put in by their volunteers in supporting Thanet people in need.”
