A Kent born and bred engineer has taken up the helm at London Array.

James Vause has become the 630MW wind farm’s General Manager after more than two decades in the energy sector.
He comes to the role as RWE – a global leader in renewable energy – takes over operation of the site, having previously been Production Manager at Rampion wind farm off the south coast.
James said: “This sees the start of a new chapter at this prestigious offshore wind farm, a site that has a reputation for pushing boundaries and innovative ways of working.
“The way the whole team has embraced the transition and supported change has been so positive to witness and I have appreciated their support and engagement during this time.
“I’m incredibly proud to accept the role of General Manager and I cannot wait to work with everyone involved with London Array.”
James started his career in the late 1990s, as a Control and Instrumentation Apprentice with PowerGen, based at Kingsnorth Power Station on the Hoo Peninsula. He’s since progressed through a range of engineering roles, following the energy transition to renewables in 2015.
In his free time, James is a keen runner and cyclist who loves to spend time outside and keeping active – especially along the Kent coast.
