HLV Svanen completes work at London Array

On Sunday 25th September the HLV Svanen successfully completed the installation of some key shallow-water foundations at London Array.  Svanen started work at London Array earlier in the summer, alongside the existing installation vessels onsite – A2 Sea’s SeaWorker and MPI Adventure, to install a number of foundations in complex locations.  This included sites at water depths down to 2.5m (LAT).

The monopiles installed by HLV Svanen were floated to the London Array site from Vlissingen in the Netherlands, crossing the busiest international seaway in the world.  The transition pieces were transported on barges to the site and installed and grouted into place.
