Ramsgate Week Winners

This year London Array sponsored Ramsgate Week, the annual sailing regatta of the South East.

After a full schedule of races taking place throughout the week, the regatta ended with a prize giving on Saturday 30 July at the Royal Temple Yacht Club. Thomas Bonnichsen, Construction Manager for London Array, presented cups to some of the competitors. The winner of the Gold Cup overall was Richard Matthews in ‘Oystercatcher XXVIII’.

A London Array flag also took pride of place on the town flag pole and overlooked Ramsgate harbour throughout the week.

The London Array team put their sailing skills to the test during Ramsgate Week when they took charge of ‘Scarlet’ and ‘Oyster’ – an Oceanis 42’ and a Legend 36’. After watching the racing from the midst of the action, the team had a go at steering and tacking themselves.
